Our Story

James Stevens, our founder, has worked with flowers all his life. As a child, he would visit the markets with his father, buying stock for the family floristry business run from at the Town Hall Station in Sydney.

It was in the early 90's that James saw an opportunity in the new world of ecommerce for a business focussed on roses. His concept of a brand known for its quality - "the Tiffany of flowers" - led to the creation of Roses Only.

"Roses Only is a luxury brand," James explains. "Our customers are discerning, and they trust us to source the best roses available, no matter where in the world they are grown." The quest for quality led James to look beyond Australia's seasonal trade - to Ecuador, Colombia and Kenya. There he found the longer stems and larger heads he wanted to bring to our customers.

From the outset, it has been our attention to detail that marks us out. Complete quality control and a continuous search for the very finest roses define the brand. While our roots are in Australia, we now serve customers from Singapore, New York and London.

Ryan Chioh is our Singapore Chief Executive. Ryan’s family have worked with flowers for over fifty years, and it is this heritage that he brings to Roses Only. We opened our Singapore doors in 2013 to bring a new line of luxury gifts. Ryan works with rose growers everywhere, with a totally commitment to bringing you the finest roses in the world.

We supply roses with genuine long stems - they measure seventy to eighty centimetres - from the finest producers. From each crop, we select only the most beautiful blooms. Our florists finish each flower by hand, carefully removing their guard petals and arranging them in our signature gift box.

Many brands have tried to follow, but there is still only one Roses Only. Each step we take, from sourcing to delivery, helps us achieve what we are famous for - that unforgettable first impression.
