This year (2022), Singapore will be celebrating its 57th National Day. The day is a public holiday and commemorates the independence of Singapore from Malaysia on 9 August 1965. It is a time for Singaporeans to come together and reflect on their country's progress and achievements. The theme for this year is "Stronger Together". The highlight of the National Day celebrations is the parade and fireworks display at the Padang, followed by a concert. There are also many other events happening throughout the island, including carnivals, exhibitions, and food festivals.
